Lower Prices and More Features for All Hosting Plans

FastVirtual is pleased to announce the launch of a new range of hosting plans, which are lower priced and include more features as standard. All new hosting plans include more disk space, bandwidth and email mailboxes. PHP, CGI and SSL support are now included with all web hosting plans, including access to FastVirtual's shared secure server. The BasicCart shopping cart system is included with the new "Gold" plan and higher, and MySQL database support has been included with all high-end packages. Customers may instantly upgrade to one of the new hosting plans from the 'Hosting" section of their account control panel.

Individual Access to Email Settings

End users can now independently configure and manage their own email settings via the new email account management system. Previously, email settings could only be configured and managed via the account control panel, which also provides access to all other account configuration options. By logging in to the new email account management system using their email address and mailbox password, end users can now configure all individual email account settings, including passwords, vacation autoresponders and email filtering options. Administrators still have access to these same settings, both globally, and on a per-account basis, from the account control panel.

New Vacation Autoresponders

Use FastVirtual's vacation autoresponders to let senders know when you are unable to respond to their messages. Simply select "Email & FTP Management" from your account control panel, select "Manage Email Accounts" and click the "Settings" button for the email account for which you want to configure the vacation autoresponder. Enter your preferred message and save your settings. Once enabled, your email will be delivered as normal, but senders will immediately receive your preconfigured message.

Webby 4.0 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of Webby 4.0, FastVirtual's web-based file editor and site management software. Webby 4.0 has an updated and easy-to-use interface, plus several new features for managing your files and folders. Webby now includes image modification (rotate and resize), the ability to manage multiple files at once (move, copy, delete, etc.), image optimization through NetMechanic, and HTML syntax checking. To access Webby 4.0, simply select the "Webby File Manager" link from your account control panel.

Advanced Email Filtering

You can now configure advanced email filtering options for all FastVirtual email accounts. Options include blocking based on blacklists (all 5 major blacklists), smart spam detection, common pattern matching, blind carbon copy (bcc) rejection and user-defined filters. You can specify email addresses to always accept or reject, and keywords to search for in the subject, header, body, etc. Filtered mail can either be returned to the sender, delivered labeled as spam, deleted, or backed up to a filtered message area. Also included is FastVirtual's 'Confirminator', which requires that all senders confirm themselves (once only) before their mail is delivered. This unique tool has the ability to remove 100% of automated spam messages.
