Data Recovery

All FastVirtual servers, including customer web site content and data files, are backed up daily to both RAID systems and tape backup. Both backup sets are stored at separate locations. As an added precaution, backup tapes are stored securely off-site each week.

Non-Disaster Data Recovery

Backups are intended to safeguard against data loss in the event of disk or server failure. There is a $50 fee to recover user-deleted files.

Tape backups run for approximately 20 hours each day, so only a small window is available to handle data recovery requests. If you need to recover files from your site (or your site as a whole), please contact us immediately, ensuring you provide the information specified below.

If you need to recover files from your site (or your site as a whole), please contact us immediately, ensuring you provide the following information:

• The time and date from which to restore your site or files (within the last five days)
• If you do not require your entire site to be restored, full details of the individual files
• Any specific requirements or instructions

You will be notified by email once the recovery has been completed. Please allow up to 24-hours.

Get a Copy of Your Web Site on CD

To safeguard against data loss, you may also request either a one-time, or recurring CD backup of your web site. Recurring CD backups can be sent either monthly or quarterly.
