Control Panel: Domains

The domains section provides access to all domain name registration features. From here you can instantly register new domain names, transfer existing domains to FastVirtual from another registrar or renew your existing domain names.

Register Domains

This section allows you to search for, and instantly register new domain names. Simply enter your preferred domain name and click "Search". The results will show whether the .com name is available, as well as the availability of many other extensions for the same name. Simply tick the checkbox for the domains you want to register, select the registration term, enter the registrant (legal owner) and name servers if this is different from your default settings and click "Add to basket". You can continue to search for other domain names, or checkout to immediately register your selected domains.

Once registered, the domains will be listed on the main "Domains" page and in the "Hosting" area, allowing you to add hosting services, or to configure value-added features for your new domains.

Transfer Domains

This section allows you to quickly transfer domain names to FastVirtual from another registrar. Simply enter the domain name you wish to transfer (you can also transfer multiple domains at the same time by separating each domain with a comma) and click "Search". The results will show whether the domain name can be transferred. Simply tick the checkbox for the domains you want to transfer, select the registration term and click "Add to basket". You can continue to add additional domain names to your basket, either new domains, or additional domains you wish to transfer, or you can checkout to immediately process the transfer request.

Transferring works like a standard renewal and requires a simple acknowledgement from your current administrative contact -- if you registered the domain name yourself, this is probably you.

Once transferred, the domains will be listed on the main "Domains" page and in the "Hosting" area, allowing you to add hosting services, or to configure value-added features for your transferred domains.

Domain Groups

The domain group manager allows you to create groups of domains for easier management. Once a group is created, you may then perform bulk actions on all domains in that group (i.e. change name servers, lock/unlock domains, etc.). Changes made to groups are then applied to all domain names within that group.

Note: It is possible to add the same domain to multiple groups. Any domains spread across multiple groups will adopt the settings selected during the most recent change, regardless of the groups it belongs to.
