Multiple Email Forwards

All FastVirtual hosting plans include multiple email forwards.

Multiple email forwards are email addresses that automatically forward mail to multiple destination email addresses. For example, you could set up a single multiple forward for sales@yourname.com, yet receive mail sent to this address at up to 15 separate email mailboxes.

Multiple email forwards are easily added and configured from the "Email" area of your account control panel.

Multiple Email Forwards Explained

Multiple email forwards are used to redirect email to up to 15 separate email addresses.

A multiple forward appears exactly as a normal email address to the sender, but all mail received by the forward is immediately sent all destination email addresses. These can be any valid email address, whether hosted by FastVirtual, or elsewhere.

Multiple email forwards are often used to create email addresses that forward to separate key personnel or departments. For example, an online store might use multiple email forwards to receive an order confirmation as follows:

orders@yourname.com		billing@yourname.com stores@yourname.com orders@yourdistributor.com etc.

In this example, the accounting department, the stock management department, and the company responsible for distributing the product would all receive the order confirmation.
