How
to I recover my account password?
Please visit the Control Panel Login page
and select "Recover password online". Enter your account name and follow
the directions on the subsequent page to obtain your account password.
I
am having trouble logging in to my account control panel.
For legacy account owners, where your domain name was
automatically used as your account username, please ensure you enter
your domain name and the applicable extension (i.e. "yourdomain.com",
"yourdomain.net", etc.). You should not include the preceding
"www.".
As accounts may now include multiple domain names and hosting
plans, we recommend that legacy account owners use a more global
username. You can change your account username from the "My Account"
area of the account control panel.
You may have entered your password incorrectly. Passwords are
case sensitive, so "Password" is not the same as "password". If you
have misplaced your password, please see the above FAQ.
If
you have followed the above instructions, but are still unable to log in to your account control panel, please
contact the Customer Care
Center for assistance.
My
registration term appears to be a day less than a full year. Why is
that?
When a domain name is renewed, the new domain expiration date is
based on the original registration date. The algorithm used to
calculate the expiration date is occasionally modified to allow for
leap years and other corrections. These changes are reflected upon
the next renewal. This method of calculation applies to all
registrars.
Once
my domain has been deleted is there anything I can do to get it back?
.com and .net domain names are assigned "REDEMPTIONPERIOD" status
for approximately 30 days following the expiration date. FastVirtual
can retrieve your domain name during this period. Once this period
has passed, domain names can no longer be retrieved. In this
instance, you would need to wait for the domain name to be released
to the public, then register the the domain name again.
.org domain names are assigned "Restorable" status for
approximately 30 days following the expiration date. FastVirtual can
retrieve your domain name during this period. Once this period has
passed, domain names can no longer be retrieved.
If your expired .com, ,net or .org domain name is still within
the retrieval period, and you want FastVirtual to retrieve it for
you, please download the
Redemption Period Retrieval Authorization Form. The form should
be completed in full and sent by Fax or mail to our
Customer Care Center.
This service is subject to an $80.00 processing fee, plus a one
year domain renewal fee. Fees are payable via credit card, cashiers check or money
order.
The domain retrieval process is usually completed within 2-7 business days.
