Who
manages the domain names for different countries?
International domain names, such as yourdomain.co.uk,
yourdomain.de,
etc., are managed by the appropriate country's NIC (Network
Information Center). You should contact your local NIC for
information about the domain registration process. Please see
this FAQ for details of the various NIC's around
the world.
Can international domain names be hosted by
FastVirtual?
FastVirtual can provide hosting for most international domain names,
although there are a few exceptions. Before signing up for a hosting
plan, please
check with your local NIC (Network Information Center) to ensure you
are eligible to register your chosen domain name, and that it can be
hosted by a provider in the United States.

international domain names be registered through FastVirtual?
No. As different countries have varying procedures and requirements, customers
need to contact their local NIC (Network Information Center)
directly to register local domain names.
Where
can I find contact details for my country's NIC (Network Information Center)?
Each country has its own NIC (Network Information Center) that is
responsible for that country's TLDs (Top Level Domains). To register
such domain names, you need to contact your local

What
is the procedure for registering a new international domain name and
hosting it with
FastVirtual?
To register a new international domain name and host it with
FastVirtual simply follow these steps:
- Contact your local NIC (Network Information Center) to
ensure the domain name you want is available and you are eligible to register
it. Also confirm that it can be hosted by a provider in the United
States.
- Create your FastVirtual account. Log in to your control panel
and add your preferred hosting plan, specifying the domain
name you will be registering.
- Contact your country's NIC to register the domain name, and
provide details of FastVirtual's name servers for the DNS entry.
If you already own the domain name,
you can skip steps 1 and 3. Just ask your local NIC to update your DNS entry to point to
FastVirtual's
name servers.
